Literacy Service Plans

Learning Ontario Central South (LOCS) hosts Literacy Service Plan (LSP) meetings four times a year. These meetings bring adult training organizations together with community partners and representatives from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development.

We share our knowledge of the labour market and our understanding of the skills needed for work, education and life. We discuss current programs, and training, and look at needs and gaps in the community. We look for ways that our adult training programs can develop new programs and services to address needs.

Our current Literacy Service Plan reports are available here:

City of Kawartha Lakes Literacy Service Plan 2023-2024

Haliburton County Literacy Service Plan 2023-2024

Referrals

We also work with our partners to make sure referrals are easy. You can contact any program in your area to make a referral. We all work together and will direct you to other programs if needed. To find programs in your area visit our Programs page.

We also make referrals to our community partners based on the needs of the learners in our programs.
